I don’t know quiet what it was. Visiting the Music Capital of the World was an experience within itself. I loved walking the streets of downtown Franklin and just basking under the 106 degree temperature!!! No, but really I loved it there. I realized that my current world view had been so hurried by the constant GO GO GO of the California lifestyle, I never really got to relax and enjoy my surroundings
I loved all the trees and even though it’s not fall yet, I appreciated some of the leaves obliging to change prematurely so that I could get a glimpse of a true FALL season. I liked downtown Nashville and got a glimpse of the old days when penniless musicians played the streets waiting for their break. It was inspiring to believe so much talent came out of one place, and yet still kept its small town feel.
The food was spectacular! I did have my first ever Waffle House experience which was different, but hey what can you say? “The food was good!” People were nice, even at the gas station! How is that even possible? Amidst the flashing neon lights with a mix of southern home cookin’ I found a new community that I could one day call Home!
